The Great Beyond

At this rate, by 2080 the average temperature will have risen by 5°C thats 23°F. Our oceans are filling up with garbage and our atmosphere is getting stuffed with C02, there is no taking this back. The only choice is to pack up our bags and move solar system but the closest  star is 4 lightyears away.

But if we used a warp drive, we might be able to get there in just a few hours (it does take time to fire up the warp drive!).  An Alcubierre warp drive would involve a football-shape spacecraft attached to a large ring encircling it. This ring, potentially made of exotic matter, would cause space-time to warp around the starship, creating a region of contracted space in front of it and expanded space behind.

So even though nothing can travel through space faster than the speed of light, we could just stretch space itself and the craft would be able to move about 10 times faster than the speed of light.

That’s it for now, I have some more work to figure this out!
